Pastor Courtney Knerr

LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Courtney is a native Hoosier, born in Fort Wayne IN. In his adolescent years he lived in Mt Dora, FL where he spent most of his time on the baseball field. He and Marilyn are high school sweethearts and have been married since 1999.  Since coming out of a decades long addictive lifestyle, Courtney has a heart for the least, the last, and the lost, and is committed to being a voice for those who have no voice. He and Marilyn’s life is a testimony to the faithfulness and power of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Marilyn is the Community Connection Coordinator for The Refuge, as she has a deep desire to work with women and families in our community. A main focal point for her is to connect families in need with local resources and provide skills needed to successfully remove barriers in life. Together they have two grown children, a son Tyler (Micaela) & a daughter, Payton. Their pride and joy is their granddaughter Gia, who loves going to the beach in Naples FL.

Courtney is an ordained minister with Calvary Ministries International (CMI). He is also working on completing the requirements to become a certified Biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, where his goal is to offer free counseling services to the community. He serves on the Butler Main Street Association Board and cares for the city of Butler and its citizens.
